Let me state for the record that I am a man. Not a boy, not a guy but a man. I am who is very secure with himself, so secure in fact that I believe that females are not only equal to men, but they can and in fact may times are better then men. And it seems lately that my gender is doing a very poor job of representing themselves.
Point in fact is this moronic backwards thinking philosophy that men are superior then women. We are not, in fact most of us would cry like a baby if we had to endure the pain of something like childbirth. Yeah there’s one for all of you boys out there who want to talk about how tough you are. You brag about taking a punch or beating the crap outta somebody in a fight, but I would love to see some of the boys out there endure childbirth and then talk about how tough they are.
Here’s another one I don’t get, the men that talk down to their girlfriends or wives when the said female tries to par take in the male’s interest. Someone once told male sports fans are the reasons that there is so much lesbianism in this country. Try talking to a guy on football Sunday. Most of those pigs would rather slap a woman then have their beloved sport disturbed , even if she wants to know more about the sport.
And male comic book fans may be worse. Most of those boys feel that females have no place in their little testosterone club unless its scantly clad on the pages of their comics and being airheads. Worse most of them don’t think that females should even express their opinions on such matters because it is not their place.
Well boys or guys or what ever the hell you wanna call yourselves, I just want to say that you will all die very lonely life if those attitudes persist.
See I’m lucky, my wife and I share tons of things in common, not only that but she knows more about what use to be just my interests then I do. We watch tons of baseball together and her insight is spot on, more so then all the male friends I have.
What’s even better for me is that my wife is a huge comic book fan. She knows more about Batman or the X-Men then the damn people writing the books. Her opinions are back up with tons of fact that she has research. Now this isn’t to say that we don’t disagree on things, we do, but one thing we do whole heartily agree on is the scummy attitude both the male comic writers and the little fan boys have towards women.
Listen to me boys, if you find a woman that wants to share your interest, that is as passionate it about it as you are. EMBRACE IT AND HER! Don’t talk down to her and don’t try to pull some inferiority act on her.
See my wife started MarvelU and DCU as a counter to the piss poor portrayal of women in the realm of comic books. There are far too many women that have been stuffed into refrigerators in that business. For those of you that don’t know, being stuffed into a refrigerator is a female character that is killed, or raped, or tortured or so badly abused that they are just their for that. They have no other purpose then to be a victim. Now why would a woman want to read about that?
The first thing my wife asked me was what I wanted to see on the site as a long time comic fan and my answer was instant. For DCU, I wanted to see Barbara Gordon as Batgirl because I believe that she is as smart and as tough as Batman or any of his Robins. Wow, imagine that a man that wants to read about a powerful woman. For Marvel it was easy, I wanted to see a Jean Grey that wasn’t the lapdog to Scott Summers but rather one that could smile and lobotomize you at the same time. Hmmm another powerful woman…does anyone see the tread in what I like.
Powerful women rock, they really do. They should stimulate a man on a variety of levels intellectually, spiritually, physically and any other way possible. See the only time they won’t is if the boys feel threatened by them. Well if they feel threatened I would say they aren’t real men. If they would rather putdown they are not real men. If they want to keep their little boys clubs and interests all to themselves, they are not only not men but they are down right flipping stupid.
See I just want to let all the women out there know that not all men are closed minded little boys that are afraid of all of you strong intellectual women. Those of us that are mature embrace that and want that. Unfortunately, most men aren’t mature.
In closing I just want to say this. Females are as good at things if not better then men. Stop being afraid and embrace it. And if you don’t you suck at life. And if you are a male and you are on our website and you are a pig who thinks woman are inferior and not as good as men then go pound sand and get the hell off our websites. Because boys its not the women on the site that started the trend of wanting powerful female characters it was me, a man. A man that loves powerful women and wants to bring them out of the refrigerator box and put them on center stage where they belong.
